Manages support operations for the requisite environmental care and services needed at UAB Medicine\'s Health System. Coordinates the care and quality control efforts for infection prevention of 10 Units [5-North, 5-South, 6-North, 6-South, Interventional Cardiovascular Unit, Bone Marrow Transplant, Heart Transplant Intensive Care Unit, Medical Intensive Care Unit, Cardiopulmonary Intensive Care Unit, and Cardiac Care Unit. Utilizes SOP measures to train and encourage staff on the reduction opportunity to mitigate community and hospital on-set morbidities/infection(s) in the hospital. Implements quality assurance inspections to review inconsistencies within the requisite applied disinfection of the mandated areas within the hospital to limit the potential for increased Hospital Acquired Infections. Assist The Center for Patient Flow with reduction in turn time of patient admission through engaging staff with tools and access to areas that require disinfection(s). Reviews HCAPHS scores to implement staffing changes and training to balance any perceived inconsistencies in the unit by our UABHS\'s patient population.
