About Mike Nevin

I love to build.I started out in architecture and enjoy the creative aspect of that discipline – seeing a design come to life. But I quickly found my real passion was in construction and development. In being a part of the group that put something where nothing was before, or rebuilt something into an entirely new environment or use. Over the years, the combination of these two passions has led to increasing complexity of project size, scope and budget as well as responsibility. Now I enjoy transforming businesses and building highly-functioning, successful teams who prove themselves to be capable of delivering any challenge that comes their way.I am committed to continuous improvement in my leadership and in the areas of the business in which I work. Good enough just isn’t good enough. I like to keep working to find ways to do more with less and to get more out of what I have. Construction is a relationship-driven activity that involves working cross-functionally, vertically, and horizontally. Simply stated, my years of experience have helped me develop the tools to get things done. I have completed projects across the United States and Canada with experience in over forty states, four provinces, and hundreds of jurisdictions. When I’m not busy getting things done, I enjoy sports, camping, heading to the beach or pool, coaching my son’s football or baseball teams, and spending time with my family.

   Manage $1 billion capital plan including approximately $200 million of new store development. Review current practices and recommend process improvements. Coordinate remodel efforts with division construction personnel. Assumed responsibility for Construction Criteria and leading ESG efforts for built environment. Define and manage annual department operating expenses. Develop, coach, mentor, and lead team. Work cross-functionally with Real Estate, Design, Procurement, Finance, Accounting, Facilities, Property Management, Analytics, Operations, and Marketing to achieve company construction goals.
