I have the pleasure of visiting laboratories across Europe, demonstrating our DynaChip X1 online buffer exchange instrument and helping them to make their mass spectrometry work easier and improving the data acquired. This DynaChip is going to make a massive improvement to native mass spectrometry workflows, reducing sample cleanup times by upto 75% whilst reducing solvent and consumable use. I give our customers the best support I can for their research.I believe in working smarter and I love meeting researchers I can help with technology.

ABOUT MICHAEL NAIRN

I wish to help people. At Andson Biotech, I help scientists overcome some of the challenges of native mass spectrometry. I work with customers to build sustainable and mutually beneficial solutions for all those involved.I have a broad background as a flexible and commercially aware multidisciplinary scientist. I have experience in the areas of mass spectrometry, medical devices, microbiology, tissue culture, biomaterials and invitro diagnostics. I am interested in product and business development, and I enjoy communicating scientific information to a broad audience.Originally a molecular biologist/ biochemist/ microbiologist I completed a doctorate investigating the biocompatibility of implantable biopolymers for use within the body to encourage biomimetic repairs of soft tissues. In addition to my core studies, I performed an evaluation of the bacteriostatic effect of chitosan and investigated gas plasma surface modification.Since completing my doctorate I have been involved in the development of an invitro diagnostic (IVD) device, developed products involved in the treatment of patients in critical care and I am currently working of developing applications for MALDI TOF Mass Spectrometers and Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometers.Specialties: Medical Devices, Tissue Culture, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Mechanics, Research and Development, Process Development and Trouble Shooting technical issues.
