Subject matter expert in trade execution for equities, fixed income, derivatives, ETFs, ETNs, and ADRs across all managed accounts at Fifth Third Bank. Determines the best method to handle very large orders by distinguishing between the different trading systems and brokers. Consulting with and advising portfolio managers and senior analysts to ensure timely and optimal execution of all trades, and to identify unplanned securities purchase and sale opportunities. Working closely with the portfolio managers to develop trading strategies, provide market commentary, analysis, and ongoing information about market sentiment, trading environment, trading volume and price volatility. Maintain and monitor the bank\'s commission budget to satisfy commission obligations per the annual broker/research vote. Ensure advanced strategy development, best execution, appropriate workflow and trading room coverage, and staff training and development. Oversees execution prices of our brokers and determines if they are fulfilling our best execution guidelines. Responsible for trade settlement with various brokers and custodians.
