ABOUT MICHAEL MAREK SPARROW
At the helm of Learning and Development at Shared Humanity Consulting, my expertise in trauma-informed care converges with cutting-edge instructional design to create transformative educational experiences. Drawing from a rich background in managing learning programs, I champion innovative strategies that foster resilience and empower individuals. My tenure at Capital One honed my skills in project management and curriculum design, where I launched initiatives like Learner Personas and People Leader Fundamentals. These programs reflect a deep-seated commitment to enhancing organizational performance through continuous learning, leveraging technology, and data-driven insights. My journey to this point in my career started as an aspiration to teach. After completing my M.A. in Child Studies and Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, I taught and tutored students aged 4-14. As I taught, I became more interested in curriculum design, instructional design, and applying my studies in technology, psychology, and play with evidence-based pedagogy. I shifted my audience from school-age students to adult learners, and over the course of a few years was managing and training folks to perform the role of instructional designer, seminar presenter, writers, and team leads.
