ABOUT MICHAEL MCTAGGART
Michael is a Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) and Chartered Insolvency Restructuring Professional (CIRP). In 2013, Michael was the recipient of the Jack Biddell Gold Medal in recognition of the articling member who received the highest mark on the 2013 CIRP National Insolvency Examination.Michael leverages his unique professional background in accounting, valuations and restructuring to advise corporations, alternative investors and financial institutions on the development of restructuring strategies for companies experiencing distress and crisis. In addition to overseeing court facilitated restructuring plans Michael has operated companies during distress situations, performed in-depth analysis of companies to develop restructuring and recapitalization plans as well as implemented strategic turnarounds and cost reduction initiatives.
