The credit card industry has been good to me. I have spent my career either working for the credit card companies or marketing to them. Along the way, I have built and worked with some amazing teams, identifying opportunities and solving problems.For example, regulators were not happy with the non-prime credit cards my bank was issuing. I wrote a business plan and designed a near-prime credit card product that would be profitable without the risk of holding a lot of receivables.Working collaboratively with a cross-functional team, we developed a decisioning engine and worked with an outside agency to drive traffic to our new websiteThe new product was profitable within the year. And it passed all regulatory audits.Being part of a team that is driven to make an impact on the projects the team is working on is very important to me. I enjoy building relationships and gaining an understanding of partner objectives, then helping my team and partners exceed their goals.In this stressful Covid period, I take my hat off to First Responders.
