ABOUT MICHAEL LIPSET
I hold a BA from the University of Minnesota (Valedictorian \'21), an EdM in the Arts in Education from the Harvard GSE, and a PhD in Education Studies from McGill University. My work and research focus on school change, arts and culture as drivers of personal and academic growth, media and technology in education. I am an award-winning podcast producer, grant-writer, artist, and qualitative researcher in education. I served as the Founding Executive Director of Studio 4 LA, a micro school serving young people pushed and kicked out of traditional schools through the recording arts and other creative endeavors, during the 2018-19 school year (fka High School for Recording Arts Los Angeles). Named one of four top changemakers in the province of Quebec in 2016 by Urbania Magazine. Published in Forbes, Phi Delta Kappan, the McGill Journal of Education, and more.
