Scientist with broad knowledge of scientific fields whose career aspirations are to facilitate the enhancement of cancer research throughout the world as well as to improve the knowledge of scientific research within public, scientific, and legislative communities.Past areas of laboratory research included characterizing the function of sirtuins in multiple tissues (prostate, breast, brain, liver, pancreas) and disease states (prostate and breast cancer, Kallmann\'s syndrome) to determine whether drugs that modulate these proteins represent plausible therapeutic targets. Research has also included the investigation of chemical-mediated cell death mechanisms in infant acute myeloid leukemia to determine how such drugs can be tailored to patients with specific cancer-causing genetic abnormalities.
