ABOUT MICHAEL HOWARD
I am a partner in a leading insurance coverage disputes firm and winner of the Distinguished Service Award from the Chartered Insurance Institute (2018). I advise on policy coverage disputes, policy notifications and in defending clients that are uninsured and pursue recoveries against third parties on their behalf. My depth of understanding of insurance contracts has been gained from working for 12 years in the commercial insurance sector both in London and Hong Kong. I was elected a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 2001 and remain an active member of the Institute of London where I currently hold the office of Vice President. I currently chair the mentoring committee and am a member of the IIL\'s finance committee. I am also a Fellow of the International Compliance Association having achieved this qualification in December 2015. My other memberships include the Professional Indemnity Lawyers Association, the Forum of Insurance Lawyers and the British Insurance Law Association.
