About Michael Jaques
With over 10 years of work experience as a chaplain, I am currently the Chief Chaplain at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where I lead and oversee the delivery of chaplaincy and pastoral counseling services to veterans and their families. I am also a Board Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains, and a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling and Specialized Ministries. In addition, I serve as an AR-MEDCOM Chaplain in the United States Army Reserve, where I provide spiritual support and guidance to soldiers and commanders. I have a strong background in religious studies, and a passion for serving and honoring those who have sacrificed for our country. My mission is to enhance the well-being and resilience of veterans and their families through compassionate and holistic care, and to foster a culture of collaboration and inclusion among the chaplaincy staff and the VA community.
