About Michael Russell
My passion is using data engineering and analytics to solve tough problems in the fields of engineering and manufacturing. While I have an extensive background in materials science, I found myself thriving when tackling problems such as \"there\'s not enough data\",\"the data is unreliable\",\"this is too difficult to measure\", or \"this analysis is impossible in Excel\" when I took my first industry job. Perhaps inevitably, this interest led me to becoming proficient in Python, SQL, REST APIs, and principles of DevOps to solve issues ranging from interpreting logging data to creating data pipelines to serving reports on KPIs.
