About Michael Baker

My professional career has consisted primarily as a community minded banker with a broad based experience in Bank Administration with significant experience in lending, credit administration and problem resolution. I am results driven and enjoy working with team members in achieving organizational goals and objectives. I enjoy the role of the decision maker and have the ability to gather information, analyze facts/data, make decisions and implement direction. After a promotion early in my career I received a card that read, “success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles that one has overcome”. Over the years I have found this message to be profound as I have faced numerous obstacles in a most challenging environment and am proud of my accomplishments. My skill set has served me well in start-up opportunities, turn-around opportunities, problem asset resolution and working closely with senior management, board of directors and banking authorities in addressing regulatory compliance. I have the ability to multitask, attend to the details, delegate, stay the course and see through completion and hold accountable. In advancing the goals of the organization I enjoy establishing the expectations, communicating the desired results and working with the team in providing consistent and timely feedback, providing direction and celebrating the accomplishments. I enjoy working with prospects in assisting them with their financial goals and objectives as well as working with existing clients in expanding their relationship.
