ABOUT MICHAEL GREAT
With over 20 years of design experience, I\'ve had the privilege of leading design processes in housing, senior housing, office, and healthcare projects across multiple West Coast cities. As Design Director of Architecture and Senior Principal at Ankrom Moisan Architects, I lead an office of like-minded designers and collaborators. Together, we\'ve honed a powerful design process tailored to every client and project\'s needs, it leverages the art of diagramming to aid in decision-making for those clients and their stakeholders.I believe the essence of any design process lies in a series of well-choreographed decisions, capable of yielding award-winning projects in less time. My role on every project is to build and maintain an engaged, creative project team. By working closely with clients, we establish strong design concepts that benefit occupants, clients, and communities alike.In addition, I am passionate about design innovation and constantly seek new ways to push the boundaries of what\'s possible. This can range from new construction technologies (Mass Timber or volumetric Modular) to new ways of thinking about materials and details that improve the design outcome while reducing cost. Every project is an opportunity to create spaces where people can live, work, and play in harmony with their larger surroundings.
