ABOUT MICHAEL MADSEN

Michael is the Managing Partner for the Greater Vancouver offices of BDO Canada. He oversees and leads a team of 35 partners and over 350 team members who deliver audit, accounting, tax and advisory services to the markets we serve. His key responsibilities include leading change, working closely with partners and clients, and executing on the vision and strategy of the firm to be the best professional services firm in the mid-market. Michael establishes these goals by taking responsibility to ensure client satisfaction, service excellence, quality in all that we do, and by creating an exceptional people experience. Michael holds a global business role with BDO Canada as the Firm’s Liaison Partner to the BDO Global $14 billion organization with representation in over 160 countries worldwide. He is responsible for ensuring BDO is positioned to be the provider of choice for clients operating internationally. Moreover, he is the first point of contact for all BDO Global international business matters to ensure the most appropriate client service team is assembled and provided to international engagements. Michael is also responsible for the growth of our global mobility program which facilitates the domestic and global movement of employees, ensuring staff have an exceptional international experience and that the Canadian firm has the right people in place to thrive.
