ABOUT MICHAEL FEGAN
I\'m an Associate Senior Teacher at St. Colman\'s College, with responsibility for digital learning and teaching. I lead strategy and delivery of our school’s digital learning vision, with a particular focus on AI integration, technology for learning, and teacher professional learning.Over the past year, I’ve led the development of a whole-school approach to AI, shaping policy, embedding ethical practices, and ensuring practical implementation. This includes integrating AI tools into our daily workflow and introducing AI literacy across the curriculum. My focus is on equipping staff and students with a deeper understanding of how AI systems work, their societal impact, and how to use them with purpose and integrity.In 2025, our school was named winner of the Capita Northern Ireland Schools ICT Excellence Award, recognising the collective commitment of our staff, students and wider community to future-ready learning.
