Dr. Michaele Morrow Esdale is a CPA with over twenty years of experience in accounting and taxation in a variety of roles spanning public accounting, private accounting and training for those in pursuit of undergraduate, graduate, continuing and executive education. She is the Founder and CEO of Fintuition Advising, LLC. Fintuition Advising offers a unique blend of tax and financial expertise and therapeutic support to help you navigate life\'s financial challenges. Michaele has prepared thousands of tax returns for individuals and businesses over the course of her career, and her current work bridges technical tax knowledge with applied policy, guiding organizations and individuals on complex U.S. and international tax issues. Her training as a Certified Financial Therapist is integral to her work advising individual clients and business owners, especially those wrestling with money and tax issues. Michaele is known for her empathetic but firm approach and is also an expert when it comes to helping clients clean up past tax situations.Dr. Esdale spent nearly two decades in academia with academic positions as assistant professor of Accounting at Northeastern University and full professor of Accounting at Suffolk University, where she was also the director of the Executive MBA program and Suffolk’s Center for Executive Education. Later, Dr. Esdale ran the career center at Merrimack College where she connected students across all disciplines to employers and provided students the tools for career exploration and development. Dr. Esdale has over 30 publications in both academic and professional journals, and her research interests include individual and corporate income tax and the effect of tax policy on taxpayer behavior. Concurrent to her time in academia, Dr. Esdale was a national tax instructor for PwC and KPMG, where she taught a wide variety of topics related to corporate tax including mergers and acquisitions and the ins and outs of net operating losses. For over a decade, she was the director of a student-run, low-income tax preparation center for Boston-area residents and international students. For five years, Dr. Esdale was also the CFO and COO for a start-up technology company which sold software to multinational pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Esdale earned her undergraduate and Master’s degree in accounting at West Texas A&M University and worked in public accounting in Texas before pursuing her PhD at Texas Tech University. She is a 2019 Boston Business Journal 40 Under 40 Honoree.
