About Michael Day

I am an Audit Partner with Grant Thornton who works primarily in the Energy industry in our Houston office. I have had both private and public clients throughout my entire career, presenting me with many different challenges and issues, and through my experiences I aim to provide insights and advice to my current clients with the goal of being a trusted adviser. I am passionate about building relationships and working with my teams to face any challenge. The people that I work with and the culture that Grant Thornton has built is very important to me and is one of the many aspects that excites me about my job. I am an avid college football fan and have recently developed a strong taste for road biking. I have worked for Grant Thornton since October 2009. While at Grant Thornton I have worked primarily in the Energy industry, but have also had the opportunity to work in the Manufacturing, Banking, Construction, and Not for Profit industries. Within the Energy industry I have been able to work with Exploration and Production, Gathering, Processing and Compression, Wholesale Marketing, Pipeline, and Oilfield Service companies. I have managed many different public and private clients and have relevant experience in equity and debt offerings, acquisitions, IPO\'s, various SEC filings, and bankruptcies.
