ABOUT MICHAEL MCCONNELL
As a real estate professional, I pride myself on my ability to address problems, manage multiple projects, analyze data, and implement a strong financial analysis. In my current role, I am employed on projects across many asset classes and lifecycle steps, which creates a unique environment to gain strong exposure to many different areas of the real estate industry. Prior to my current position, I finished the MBA program at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, specializing in real estate and finance. During my MBA Internship, I was employed at Tridel as an Acquisitions and Project Feasibility Intern. In this role, my responsibilities included; performing comparable analysis, developing high-quality submissions, automating business processes and analyzing previous lost development bids. I also have an undergraduate degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University with a focus on business strategy. After graduation from Ivey, I was employed at IBM as strategy and business transformation consultant, where I led client-facing teams in understanding challenges and implementing solutions for business transformation projects. This included implementing a vendor procurement strategy and leading two teams in a major human resource-payroll transformation. In this role, my responsibilities included performing financial analysis on potential project extensions, leading teams and producing high-quality deliverables.
