I helped co-design and am the Lead Facilitator for the Faculty Leadership Development Academy (FLDA) for the San Diego Community College District. SDCCD serves approximately students annually through three two-year colleges and seven Continuing Education campuses. The FLDA is offered to professors who have the professional goal to obtain a leadership, management or supervisory position. The FLDA is a fifty-hour leadership development experience. Curriculum includes organizational management skills, advanced leadership development training, coaching and mentoring strategies, multiple resources and comprehensive insights into leadership challenges, opportunities and goals. The FLDA is backed by advanced leadership coaching with small groups of faculty. The combination of an intensive training and development program backed by small group and individual coaching makes for an accelerated leadership development experience for SDCCD faculty.
