ABOUT MICHAEL BOGHOSIAN

I am a professional mechanical engineer with a diverse range of industry experience in applied fluid dynamics and thermal-fluids spanning: nuclear power, engine fuel-injection systems, automotive cooling systems, and medical devices. I focus on thermal-fluid analysis, including modeling and simulation employing a range of tools such as 3D computational fluid dynamics (CFD), 1D system-level codes, 0D lumped-parameter methods and analytical calculations. Research from my PhD provides new insights on the origins of the vortex shedding phenomenon. My post-doctoral fellowship focused on the role that fluid dynamics plays in the adaptation and remodeling of blood vessels. I am a licensed mechanical engineer (PE) in the State of Illinois and also teach mechanical engineering and applied mathematics as an Adjunct Professor.
