ABOUT MICHAEL A. WANG

Over 18+ years experience in Application Engineering, Business Development, Ecosystem System Enabling and Account Management in the Semiconductor Industry. I am a Silicon Valley hi-tech executive with 25+ years of experience in AI/ML, embedded systems, memory subsystems, and ecosystem enablement across leading semiconductor and systems companies. My career has focused on building and scaling strategic partnerships with top-tier SoC vendors, automotive Tier 1s and OEMs, industrial customers, and IoT ecosystem partners in North America and EMEA.I have led business development, product marketing, and ecosystem-enablement functions at organizations including Silicon Motion, Infineon Technologies, ISSI, Micron, and Macronix. Across these roles I have managed high-revenue product lines, driven NPI and go-to-market launches, and served as the key technical and business liaison for complex customer programs involving memory, chipset, and embedded system architectures. In parallel with my corporate work, I am an active angel investor and advisor in AI and deep-tech startups, with investments spanning AR/VR education, NLP/GenAI, drone delivery, and low-power semiconductors. I also contribute to the next generation of engineers as Program Chair and Instructor for Embedded Systems at UCSC Silicon Valley Extension, where I have taught since 2006.My academic background includes B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering, an MBA with a concentration in Marketing, and a postgraduate program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from UT Austin. I am a Senior Member of and have held leadership roles in several professional and alumni organizations.I am particularly interested in leadership roles that align CPU, memory, and system partners to unlock new AI/ML and embedded use cases at scale, and in opportunities where strategic ecosystem building directly drives revenue and long-term growth.
