ABOUT MIKE GIBBONS

Organisations today face relentless operational challenges - from rapid technological disruption to the race for talent and capability. As UK Managed Services Leader at PwC UK, I see this every day. Clients no longer want advice alone; they want end-to-end managed services that combine our expertise, operational strength, and cutting edge technology to help run and transform their businesses.Before this, I led PwC’s Operate business and our Managed Services for Deals, building large-scale delivery capabilities and partnering with clients on their most complex operational programmes. Those experiences reinforced what great managed services can achieve, helping organisations build resilience, accelerate transformation, and deliver sustained outcomes.With 20+ years’ experience in large-scale programmes, spanning transformation, regulation, remediation, and global audits, I draw on my background as a Chartered Mechanical Engineer to stay practical and outcome-focused.For me, endurance is a defining leadership quality. It’s about consistency, trust, and staying the course through change - the same principles that drive my passion as an ultramarathon trail runner.I believe success, whether in business or sport, comes down to people, culture, and purpose. That belief has shaped my work as Chief People Officer for our PwC Deals business and People Partner for Forensic Services, and continues to guide how I lead today.Outside work, I’m committed to helping young people reach their potential and advancing freedom of belief through charitable roles. I live in Guildford with my wife Hana, and we love to recharge in Cornwall, exploring the coast paths and running the trails that keep me grounded and inspired.
