ABOUT MICHAELA MARTIN
I have worked within the construction industry for over 14 years. Starting my career at just 17 as a Carpenter apprentice, I quickly stepped into a trainee assistant site manager role. I completed my apprenticeship with Barratt Developments, and progressed to an experienced NHBC award winning Site Manager. I decided to have a change of roles and stepped into the Commercial department in 2019 as an assistant buyer. In 2020 an opportunity arose on the Isle of Wight to join a local House Builder looking to grow, Captiva Homes. I joined as Construction Manager to begin their journey as a Principle Contractor. The role had such a variety of roles and I gained a wealth of experience with the best team. Unfortunately the role of Construction Manager no longer suited me, so I have rejoined Barratt Developments as a Buyer.
