About Michaela Chittenden

Growing up my younger sister and I would always play restaurant. She would run the kitchen and I would manage the customers and table service. Fast forward to my first job at 15 and I was working in a college dining hall. Fast forward again to college and I began waiting tables at a country club, and you’ll see from my resume the road that I have traveled since then. Food and beverage is undeniably part of who I am. Who else pretends to run a dining room for fun as a kid?I have worked my way up through the ranks gathering skills, building relationships, and striving to create the most memorable of experiences for each person I meet along the way, customers, vendors, and teammates alike. I lead by example, encourage growth, and seek to create a team that is capable of consistently providing the five-star service I expect, with or without me there. I also look to be of service to not just my customers, but also my team. In my experience, a teammate that feels valued and appreciated will always do more than is expected of them which equates to stellar service to our guests. I consider myself a student for life and am always looking for new opportunities to learn personally and professionally. I am also a plant-based health coach which is not only of benefit to my personal health and my family and friends, but also to the organization that I am part of. As the ever changing world of food and beverage moves towards the future, I believe that this will be a unique area of expertise that I bring to the table, in addition to my experience.
