Led the warehouse operations to recover a failing site through a team of 7 direct and circa 80 indirect reports with full P&L responsibility.• Annual cost savings of £3m+ through restructure, optimisation and continuous improvement projects• Improved key metrics including OTIF by over 10%, UPH from circa 50-55 to 80+ daily and reduced mispicks from 100+ a day to single digits a week across all shifts• Designed and implemented an Employee Rewards and Recognition scheme aligned with the business values and objectives• Created warehouse models, trackers, templates and reports to ensure that costs are aligned with volume and tasks to minimise downtime, increase productivity and manage costs, ensuring that I was under budget every month• Increased recycling from circa 60% to 98%+ ensuring that we minimised our environmental impact by significantly reducing waste sent to landfill• Optimised the warehouse layout by creating an additional 3,500 pick bins at ground level to match available lines, improved productivity and implemented processes to improve stock integrity, reduce write-offs and OOD stock. • Year 1 resulted in a 50% reduction in write-offs and enabled us to do a full stock take in 24 hours rather than 72 hours. Year 2 results saw a 45% improvement on year 1 result write-offs and a stocktake result variance within acceptable shrinkage levels• Reduced absences from days a year to less than 100 by actively managing the expectation, setting the standard and removing waste from within the team• Completed a cultural change piece to set the standard and expectation for the team with a focus on H&S, cost management, absences/attendance, conduct and performance
