I graduated from the University of Missouri in 2008 with a degree in Sociology and a degree in Journalism from Columbia College Chicago in 2010. I am a highly skilled communicator and writer, talented at conveying key messages and information to readers through both online and printed copy. Comfortable and confident in interviewing people at all levels, including subject matter experts, government officials, and business leaders. Works collaboratively with marketing team to ensure all written and video content is accurate and compliant with company, industry, and style standards. Experienced in strategic media placement, media/public relations, event planning, community engagement/outreach, and sports coverage. In my free time I enjoy volunteering with the Danny Did Foundation, the Mizzou Alumni Association Chicago Chapter and the SEC Chicago Alumni, all of which I am currently on the board of.

   Write, edit and take photos of high school sporting events throughout the Chicago Public League, the sporting association of the Chicago Public Schools. I write feature stories as well focusing on the student-athletes and coaches of the 80+ public high schools in the Chicago Public Schools system, as well as 300+ elementary schools. Edit and post stories, written by myself or other reporters, for our website in a timely fashion Assist in the planning, developing and execution of most high school events, including those held at college and professional arenas. Work with coaches, Athletic Directors and other school administrtors on the promotion of our student-athletes.
