As the Senior Manager, Program Controls at Seaspan Shipyards, I am a second line Manager responsible for supporting each of the Program Management Offices in delivering program/contract scope, schedule, cost, resource, communications, risk management & control.My Teams and I are responsible for program data and analytics capability at VSY, responsible for generating insight through developing, controlling and integrating production, planning & scheduling, earned value and financial data. This includes establishment of KPI’s, historical and current performance, estimating, forecasting & simulation, planning and execution and tracking of project scope, cost and schedule for all programs.This also includes the operation and development of the Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), maintenance of program/project baselines, generation of project and program metrics, standardized reporting, strategic guidance, managing change and risk, issue, and opportunity analysis.
