About Michael White
While healthcare is complex, I believe problems can be divided into 3 main areas: access, delivery, and payments. I have an expertise in comprehending the dynamics and future trends/technologies of healthcare delivery. With over 10 years of experience, I understand the necessary improvements for patient care, hospital operations, team relationships, challenges in addressing social determinants of health, urban vs rural healthcare settings, revenue cycle complexities, ER visits and OR procedures throughout my time at various New York City health systems. I have an energy and passion to instigate change within the healthcare system and identify early companies that share these same values to improve healthcare for us all. My focus shifted from patient care to the general healthcare system as we continue to encounter difficult challenges for everyone and every patient involved. That’s why I dedicated my career to finding common ground among teams and discovering creative solutions to some of healthcare’s trickiest challenges. I am known for fostering collaboration and communication to achieve success and instill a sense of partnership with stakeholders on all sides of the healthcare industry. Over my career, I have been a direct contributor to healthcare change in the areas of accessibility, physician education, financial and revenue cycle improvements, patient centered care, and supportive culture within healthcare teams. I have worked on numerous clinical research projects, quality improvement, and technology projects. Leadership Highlights: Appointed to a system-wide Physician Leadership Development Program that helps emergingleaders build strong networks and ecosystems for change. Lending expertise to the development of a novel AI platform that will help doctors quickly and accurately bill for medical services—reducing the number of denied claims by insurance companies and driving revenue for hospitals.
