About Michael Waslin
Environmental sustainability is core to business. Innovative/ modern companies know that reduced waste and increased efficiency is mutually beneficial to profits, people’s health, and the impact on the planet. Through Merck’s Sustainability COE, I lead the sustainability strategy for the organization, which has resulted in reduced emissions, increased transparency, improved processes and better design and selection of materials. With extensive pharmaceutical experience including manufacturing, project management and EHS, I bring a broad perspective to our environmental sustainability strategy. My goal is to decrease our carbon footprint, maintain or increase profits, positively impact the healthcare sector and to leave the world a better place for the next generation.
