I am primarily responsible for manufacturing operations and at Texfelt and to develop manufacturing capabilities across the group. Also responsible for all non flooring business development, product development and account management within the non wovens division. At a group level, the role provides technical support to the Think Fibres and Fillings as well as development of processing capabilities through that business and our engineering division.Over the past 2 years prime achievements have been - Driving up OEE by 40%- Creation of high performance PU alternative product range Springbond Ultraflex- Development of full range of upholstery components - Created CNC converting department, acquisition of capital plant and development of complex systems- Created further award winning Undelays - Most recently Springbond Eco Step- Enhanced employee engagement through better communication across the group. Non woven division performance has significantly improved as a result of this and other measures- Decarbonised the manufacturing process through significant solar investment, VO equipment and focussing on key manufacturing activities.
