   I use my broad and deep knowledge and connections on the IU Bloomington campus and in Bloomington and Monroe County to create mutually beneficial communtiy engaged learning partnerships between instructors and community partners. As a communtiy engagement professional, I further the institutionalization of community engagement on campus by creating conditions and culture for the adoption of best practice, recognition, and incentives in academic, research, co-curricular, and extra-curricular areas, locally, regionally, and internationally. I used my knowledge and experience to co-lead the successful reclassification of campus for the 2020 Elective Carnegie Community Engagement Classification, collecting information from 13 schools and 20 units and divisions.
