Providing technical leadership and direction for existing and prospective commercial and industrial projects including structured risk management for the marketing of key projects for the group. Based on our planned growth, the role has included leading new business growth, developing and leveraging internal and external relationships in support of new opportunities providing portfolio management for the book of business. The role has also include support for regional development of construction opportunities with regular interfacing with regional heads to discuss construction opportunities of interest and share our experience. This has resulted in active representation at external project interest group meetings and notable portfolio development success.Scope of technical activities includes delivering technical client facing presentation to secure new business, representation of the project to potential insurance markets and resolving technical enquiries. Following appointment, my role has involved leading risk management from policy inception to project completion and handover allowing smooth transition to operational cover. This has included management of engineering surveys and supporting both client response and insurers queries, management of policy coverage based on project changes during the project and arranging for extensions required to ensure coverage is appropriately maintained. The role has also involved further raising the risk management profile in the group developing technical papers and presenting their scope to the group. I am also an active member of the International Project Financing Association (IPFA) having supported regular subject group meetings and contributed to a published paper.
