Michael Torres is the owner/operator of de la Torre Art Design, Inc. From museums to zoos and themed environments, Michael’s passion and creativity bring life to any project. He specializes in creating unique and natural finishes for artificial rock work, tree fabrication, three-dimensional and lifelike sculptural signage, 3D printing, and scenic and faux paint services.de la Torre Art Design was contracted by the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere to create its award-winning animal habitats and landscapes. Due in part to this work, the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere’s \"Expedition Peru: Trek of the Andean Bear\" received Top Honors in Exhibit Design in 2019, awarded by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). In 2020, the Nashville Zoo’s \"Sumatran Tiger Exhibit: Tiger Crossroads\" was awarded Top Honors in Exhibit Design by the AZA for the second year in a row. In 2021, de la Torre Art Design was contracted by Zoo Knoxville to create awe-inspiring interior exhibits for the new Clayton Family Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Campus (ARC Campus). In 2022, Zoo Knoxville’s ARC Campus was also awarded the Top Honors in Exhibit Design by the AZA.
