Job Summary:The Custom Product Operations Leader is responsible for the operational capabilities of custom vehicles and products for golf, commercial and consumer markets. Responsibilities include design development of custom vehicles, financial planning, management reporting and analysis. Responsible for operational improvement, to include materials planning and management, lead time reduction, custom product quote process, quality improvement process and overall customer satisfaction. Responsible for multiple operations in regard to safety, product quality, process control, materials management, and equipment utilization. Design experience in mechanical, sheet metal, metal fabrication electrical and fluid systems. Responsibilities include:•Analyzes and provides solutions for custom products regarding total value, safety, reliability, quality, manufacturability, and cost.* Supervises and coordinates all shop operations• Estimate time and material costs for preparation of quotes for custom vehicles and accessories based on customers input.• Confer with customers and dealers to clarify requirements.• Research and order specialized components required for customizations.• Create flat patterns of sheet metal parts and create laser\\water-jet programs.• Work with manufacturing departments to utilize equipment and materials.* Develops and implements organizational strategic goals.•Prepares annual operating budgets. Assesses proposed production, approves manpower, fabrication equipment, warehousing space, and expense requirements. Anticipates and requests funding to support future expansion. Ensures adherence to established budgets.•Directs process for transferring repetitive custom products into main line operation. •Reviews and resolves field failures and complaints. •Provides technical training and advice for marketing customized products during trade shows, sales meetings and product launches.
