About Michael Toedt

Visionary physician executive with over 30 years of experience in hospital and health system leadership. Served as Indian Health Service’s lead expert on medical and public health topics, health system quality and compliance, health IT, and oversight of the clinical and community-based health programs of the Agency. Dr. Toedt retired from the USPHS Commissioned Corps at the rank of Assistant Surgeon General (Rear Admiral). He is a board-certified practicing family physician with a fellowship in obstetrics, a seasoned senior executive and board member in government, health and human services and public health. He has extensive leadership experience in healthcare quality, compliance, health IT, and in working with federal and Tribal health programs and is a powerful advocate for health equity and rural health care.
