ABOUT MICHAEL TADROUS

I divide my time between two fields I care about deeply: nuclear energy and financial education. Both have the potential to shape our future, one by providing us with energy, the most critical input in all productive enterprise, the other by helping people manage and invest money, the foundation of economic opportunity. Nuclear Energy. At McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business, I research how nuclear energy technologies can deliver sustainable, reliable and low-cost power. Under the guidance of Dr. Goran Calic, I analyze technology economics, policy hurdles and, most of all, public perception. I also co-host The Atomic Exchange Podcast, where we translate the latest developments in nuclear technology and energy systems for a broader audience. Financial Education. Away from the reactor ledger, I serve as Director of Financial Education (FinEd™) and Senior Investment Analyst at INVRS, a startup that combines market data, gamified courses and portfolio competitions to make investing more accessible. I run an exclusive blog on the platform, followed by more than 6,700 INVRS members, create personal-finance courses and help design tools that let users learn from each other while they track real-time performance. Public Voice. I host a second show, Tadrous Talks, a personal podcast where I interview friends and colleagues about their work, ideas and the lessons that do not always fit into a journal article or report. I have spoken at various conferences in Canada, including the 2023 Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) in Vancouver and the 2023 DeGroote Undergraduate Student Research Conference in Hamilton. I have also led numerous financial-literacy workshops and events through PennyDrops at McMaster. Beyond my professional work, I have a deep interest in Orthodox theology, church history, patristic studies and Christian apologetics, and I have delivered presentations at different Orthodox churches and associations across Ontario.
