   The Production Planner II is responsible for planning, coordinating, and maintaining the master schedule in a high-volume, high product mix manufacturing environment. Overall responsibility for the creation of production schedules and maintenance of established company finished goods inventory targets in support of customer requirements. Actively tracks customer on-time delivery and outbound premium freight costs. Monitors and reports changes to customer requirements, manufacturing capacity constraints, problems or concerns, and schedule changes.Monitor and align production resources and capacity with forecast requirements to ensure on-time output.Based on production capacity and customer demand, predict the number of shifts and days required for production and prepare staffing for the production department.Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to optimize shipping schedules, reducing bottlenecks and premium freight costs.Oversee the introduction of new products, ensuring smooth ramp-up without disrupting ongoing production.Plan phase-out strategies for retiring products to avoid excess inventory, ensure on-time fulfillment, and minimize obsolescence.Maintains sales forecasts, build schedules, shipping schedules, and build plans to latest Customer Orders.Coordinates and communicates delivery schedules and production priorities to Customers, Production, Engineering, and Prototype to ensure all requirements are met.Ensures standard costs are properly set up and tracked in ERP system in coordination with Operational Finance / Cost Accounting functions.Establish and maintaining accurate Bills of Material and Routings in ERP system.Accurately capture Sales Contracts in ERP system and maintain electronic Purchase Orders.Analyzes closed jobs with exceptional WIP values and WIP in inspection variances and bills appropriate control accounts.
