In the beginning, work at Earth, Inc. was primarily commercial, municipal, and some residential, but transitioned over time to primarily public sector roadway and bridge projects along with relatively large size commercial development. Some of the larger projects undertaken by Earth, Inc. include the 130 acre McCandless Crossing (commercial development) project in the Town of McCandless, Allegheny County as well as highway/bridge projects on Interstates 70, 79, 80, and 81, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Mainline, the Greensburg Expressway, the Beaver Valley Expressway, the Mon-Fayette Expressway, and the Northeast Extension (of the Pennsylvania Turnpike). As Chief Geotechnical Engineer for Earth, Inc, Mr. Sydlik is responsible for the technical as well as administrative aspects of all geotechnical and supplementary civil engineering projects Earth, Inc. undertakes.
