About Michael Starr

25+ year technology consulting career spanning technology from Y2K COBOL coding to Azure Solution Architecture and Azure Open AI. I enjoy coming up with process and technology solutions to help solve business problems and transform the ways that companies do business. Original Microsoft coding background in custom application development on Microsoft platforms, both WinForm and Web. Starting with VB 4.0/Interdev (classic ASP) and following the Microsoft stack forward to present (C#/VB.Net/ASP.Net). Started on the SharePoint platform when the first version hit Beta and got into it really heavy with 2003 and moved into Dynamics CRM for 2011/2013/2015/2016/365. Additional work in Business Intelligence using Microsoft SQL Server. Currently a Solution Architecture across the Microsoft technology stack (Cross Domain Solution Architecture) with large US federal enterprise customers. Have more than a decade of experience consulting as an employee of Microsoft Gold Partners and 12+ years with Microsoft Consulting Services in most commercial sectors and for the last couple years in public sector supporting US Federal Government organizations. As part of my consulting background, I have worked in multiple business silos including, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Oil and Natural Gas, Healthcare, Hospitality, Real Estate, Education, and DefenseSpecialties/Technical focus: Azure Open AI implementations, Azure Cloud Architecture, Azure Edge Compute Architecture (Azure Local, Azure Stack Edge), Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Power Platform and Power BI), Dynamics 365 Online, Mixed reality architecture focusing on HoloLens2 based Implementations.
