ABOUT MICHAEL SHORT
Professor of Control Engineering and Systems Informatics in the School of Computing, Engineering and Digital Technologies at Teesside University. I am also visiting/adjunct Professor at Vellore Institute of Technology in India and external examiner at RGU in Aberdeen. My personal research focuses principally on aspects of Applied Control Engineering and Systems Informatics for Industry 4.0 and Smart Energy applications. I have published over 190 peer-reviewed scientific and technical contributions in conferences and journals and secured over a dozen major funded research projects as either PI or Co-I. I am Associate Editor for the journal of Energies and a regular reviewer for several major academic periodicals.
