ABOUT MICHAEL SHEFT

Michael Sheft is a Managing Director at Wellington Management, one of the world\'s largest independent investment management firms with over $1.2 trillion in assets under management as of 30 June 2024. He is a Business Development Manager responsible for some of the firms largest subadvisory and wealth relationships which include global investment managers, insurance companies, defined contribution plan providers and other fund sponsors. He is also a member of US Financial Intermediaries Leadership Team and leads a team of 12 client service professionals. The members of this group have specialized expertise and serve as an extension of the client\'s staff to work on marketing, sales & distribution support, product innovation, investment approach & fund launches, portfolio analysis, competitive positioning, governance and new product development issues. He previously served as a member of the firm\'s Trade Policy Review Group. Michael joined the firm in 1998 after practicing corporate, estate planning and tax law in private practice for 4 years. At Riemer & Braunstein (19••••98) he was an Associate in the Corporate Department working with privately held companies & families on corporate transactions and tax planning. At Stark & Stark (19••••96), he was an Associate in the Trusts and Estates Group working with high net worth families and individuals on estate and tax planning. Michael received his LLM in Taxation from New York University of Law (1995) and his JD from Villanova University School of Law (1994). He also received his BS in Business Administration from Bucknell University (1991). He was admitted to practice in law in Massachusetts, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
