About Michael Sheahan

Mike Sheahan is a maritime professional in shipbuilding, ship repair, shipyard consulting, and complex litigation. Experience at General Dynamics has instilled extensive knowledge of engineering, procurement, shipbuilding, integration, and commissioning. As a US Coast Guard licensed engineer for steam, diesel, and gas turbine vessels of unlimited horsepower, he has commissioned and sailed aboard many military and commercial vessels. As a Naval Architect at Maritime Applied Physics Corporation he spearheaded feasibility and initial design of a HYSWAS littoral combat ship, including prototype wave tank testing at the US Naval Academy. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from University of San Diego with focus on Entrepreneurship and Venture Management and a Bachelor\'s Degree in Marine Engineering Systems from United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point NY; and is a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Strategic Sealift Officer Program.
