I was given the opportunity and freedom to build something special! The mandate of this role was to rebuild the Talent Acquisition function to attract the right talent that lives and breathes our values and beliefs.How did we do this? We made it all about the customer! Yes, we developed a nice process and roadmap, but our strategy was, and currently is, centered around providing a best-in-class hiring manager and candidate experience. We hired the most amazing team to achieve this. We are not hiring manager ‘order takers’. We are true business partners. We bring our strategic insight to the table and make our voices heard, use data to help with rational decision-making, provide various strategic sourcing initiatives and work ourselves to the bone to deliver results. Our candidates are our guests and we always strive to provide them with a “white glove” experience. We have revamped our careers site, provided candidates with a seamless online application experience, automated interview scheduling, delivered an authentic and transparent interviewing process, implemented e-signature for contracts and new hire documentation and rolled out a pre-boarding process to set candidates up for success.Few other things I am proud of :• Getting promoted 9 months on the job• Consistently achieving over 50% Linkedin Inmail Acceptance rate by sharing Woodbine’s compelling story and value proposition, eliminating the reliance on professional and executive search firms• Leading the implementation of a modern Applicant Tracking System (Lever) which enhanced our ability to deliver on our strategic imperatives• Leading Woodbine through its record-breaking hiring expansion, resulting in over 800 hires (125% YoY increase)
