I am now at Amalgamated Bank. I made this move after substantial research both of lending institutions and of my own standards and goals. I found this to be the best combination of wide ranging mortgage products and social responsibility that I could find. This bank was developed in the early 20th century to serve the working public. I won’t delve into their history, as that is easy enough to find on- line. Due to their consistent commitment to working families and individuals they have developed an array of offerings that most benefit borrowers whether it is a first time homebuyer, an empty nester looking to pay off college loans, or families looking to purchase that 2nd home as an investment or vacation/retirement spot.
