Oversight of the operations of a progressive Emergency Medical Service, serving as the department’s Chief Operations Officer of 140 employees; respond to major emergencies, function as a senior officer of the County’s Emergency Command Staff, including serving as a key member in the Emergency Operations Center and Countywide Emergency Response Planning Staff as well as being the Director of Training and Education. Assist in the planning, direction and approve the development of long-range strategic goals. In addition, direct and approve the development and implementation of policies and standard operational guidelines. In 2010, successfully implemented an electronic document policy management process.Collaborate with Physician Medical Director to build progressive protocols and patient care guidelines through research and studies.Participate in state, regional, and local meetings as a decision maker Gained solid knowledge of principles and practices of public administration.
