Over 30 years of experience in capacity planning, operations analysis and engineering design of rail infrastructure- Proven project management and organizational skills. Has the ability to handle multiple projects while meeting all requested deadlines and milestones- Has addressed the capacity planning needs of a diverse client base (i.e. Class I railroads in North America, rail-based industrial plants, ports, mines, yards, utilities and large multinational corporations requiring freight/heavy haul planning expertise- Completed feasibility studies involving commuter/passenger rail services on dedicated or mixed traffic networks. Analyzed platform track occupancies at large terminals such as: Toronto Union Station and Chicago Union Station- Experienced in using different rail simulation software packages (i.e. RAILS, RTC, and RailSys) As well, some exposure to Synchro8 and VISSIM 7 traffic models- Involved in the development and maintenance of using the Delphi programming language- Conducted on-site track inspections and including some materials handling evaluations at rail-based locations. In turn, recommendations were made regarding the track layout and rail operations- Designing track layouts for sidings, rail-based industrial plants, ports, mines, yards, and utilities using AutoCAD in either schematic representation or using proper rail industry track geometry guidelines- Expert knowledge of \"Supply Chain\" logistics and railway operations.(i.e.\"Mine to Port\")- Involved in many rail-related international projects in countries such as Colombia and Mexico- Proficient in the usage of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Project- Provided \"classroom\" based training courses to several customers. Designed and wrote the user manual and all the training materials.
