About Michael Roling

Michael has been the Chief Information Security Officer for the State of Missouri since October of 2009. He heads the Office of Cyber Security and is responsible for leading the information security efforts for the state. Michael has been employed by the State of Missouri since 2003 and worked for AT & T and Anheuser-Busch in previous years. Michael graduated from Saint Louis University with a degree in Management Information Systems.During his current tenure as CISO, he has transformed the information security culture throughout state government, introduced new processes and technologies that have enabled information technology to swiftly and effectively respond to incidents, and has implemented various policies that have strengthened information technology governance. Ushered in a new era of people, processes, and technologies dedicated to defending and responding to tomorrow\'s threats Manage an ever-growing team of information security professionals (currently 17) Introduced numerous initiatives that securely enable state government Raised security awareness throughout state government ensuring that everyone understands their responsibility
