About Michael Robinson
As a mediator and peacebuilding & conflict transformation professional, I have extensive experience in organizational strategy processes, cross-sectoral collaboration, participatory learning and evaluation approaches, and applied research. I am passionate about resolving conflict, facilitating strategic learning and change processes, supporting shifts in power to communities, developing organizational partnerships, leading and collaborating with diverse teams, training and coaching, fostering inclusion, promoting environmental justice, and carrying out values-led work. I have spent 9+ years working for non-profits, and 12+ years promoting dialogue, shared experiences, and common ground across lines of difference. I am currently based in Michigan, where I am from. After graduating college and spending two years working in Detroit, I attended graduate school in California. I then moved to Washington, D.C. to work for the world’s largest dedicated peacebuilding organization. Having been working mostly remote-based since 2020, I am comfortable carrying out my work in person and virtually. I have traveled domestically and internationally to 6+ countries for research and work, and am accustomed to working across time zones and with colleagues across the world.
