Provides security leadership and oversight working in close coordination with System Director, Environmental Safety, Compliance and Facilities in the development, implementation, evaluation and enforcement of security and safety strategies, programs, policies, and guidelines across the Baptist system. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, identifying and assessing safety, security, and emergency management risks throughout the organization, designing a comprehensive safety program to mitigate such risks and protect the safety and wellbeing of patients, employees, physicians, visitors, and property. Promotes standardization, as appropriate, through the deployment of defined safety and security policies, protocols, and processes to address safety/security matters, as well as, handle crisis situations should they occur. Serves as a technical advisor relative to compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and accrediting organizations. Works collaboratively with various operational leaders, entity security teams and other key stakeholders to drive a culture of security and safety throughout Baptist.
